Curriculum Learning
Area: Sciences / Living World
Strand: Living World
Achievement Outcomes:
•
Recognise that there are life processes common to all living things and
that these occur in different ways. (life-cycles)
•
Explain how living things are suited to their particular habitat and how
they respond to environmental changes, both natural and human-induced. (adaptations)

Begin to group plants, animals, and other living things into
science-based classifications. (classification)
We began a topic about the sea and the creatures in it at the end of term one and will continue this into term two. This will also cross into our arts topics for the term. Below is the MI Grid we are working from in order to learn about the above outcomes. Students are able to work in groups of up to four to work on their chosen activity and must present it to the class upon completion. They are encouraged to give feedback to each other during the process and give feedforward when presenting their work.
